This is Georgie. She was born February 6th 2016, on one of the coldest days of the winter. My husband had just made them a new pen in the barn the day she was born, and we were with them all day. We went inside to get warm and I had this feeling something wasn't right so the kids and I went back out to check and sure enough we had two kids on the ground.
Georgie was the first one born and was almost lifeless when we found her. Her tongue was hanging out the side of her mouth. We immediately wrapped her in a blanket and brought her, mom, and brother inside. It was a race against the clock trying to warm her up, but not too quickly. After what seemed hours she finally came around. We kept them in the house for a few days while my husband built them a warming barrel. She quickly stole our hearts.
As the months went by, she became a therapeutic goat at our local nursing home. The smile on the residents' faces are priceless. As one lady held her, she told us every time about when she grew up she lived on a farm and had goats also but there was something special about this goat.
In her free time, Georgie likes to run and jump on everything. She has a play set that she loves to play on and go down the slide. Her favorite treat is animal crackers. Last month she went to the county fair and won her class and she and her mom won the Mother/Daughter class. She loves to go on walks and loves attention. We love her.
