Hi! My name is Phoenix, and I just recently met my forever Pet Parent a few days ago! That's me choosing her to be my mommy in that third picture. I travelled a long way from a farm in the United States to a pretty chicken farm in Maple Ridge, Canada. Now I live in Surrey. That's a lot of travelling for a small birdie!
I'm only one pound, three ounces, or 590 grams for Metric people. Right now I sleep in a kitty carrier because I am so small Mommy is scared the other chickens might hurt me. But I also get to play on the computer desk, and with Mommy's action figures, and I get to sleep on the toys on the couch.
I like being the smallest chicken in the house. I get to play in all the places the other chickens are too big to go! I've been making friends with the other Silkie, and getting to eat bugs in the yard, and learning all sorts of things. Today I learned how to kick over a cup of coffee. I'm not sure that was a good thing. Maybe I should kick it over when it has more coffee in it. I bet that will impress Mommy!
