This is my bird Puffy, he is a yellow and green parakeet. They are also called budgies, short for budgerigar, but it doesn't matter, he is not concerned about labels. Some people wonder how you can tell is a bird is a boy or a girl, in his case, we kknow he is male because the bumps over his beak, called ceres, are blue. If he was a female, they would be brown or pink.
Puffy is very cute, and will step up and perch on my finger nicely, as you can see. He also has a very long tail, which is fun, as some parakeets seems to have very short ones. Puffy is not even three years old yet, so he is a young bird, and I hope he is happy and lives a very long time. I love him!
