Mimi is our first rabbit. She has lived with us for almost five years. We met lots of cute rabbits at the shelter but she was the only one who stared straight at us. And from then on she knew she was in charge. She loved being petted and nudged our hand if we stopped. She did a noisy flop when we gave attention to other rabbits.
After we brought her home, Mimi nipped our shoulder if we picked her up and she wanted down. If we were distracted by the phone, she took a loud chomp from the sofa and then dashed off to play tag (or hide and seek?) as we tried to catch her for a time out in bunny jail. She is box-trained but will lapse if her breakfast is late.
Mimi can be bossy but she is very affectionate too. She grooms us when we sit with her. She wiggles her tail and comes hopping when we come home. She puts on a very fancy binky show every evening when she's ready for dinner and bed.
We never imagined how opinionated a little rabbit could be but we also never imagined how much we would love her every day. We are so proud of her. She's a really special rabbit.
