Natsu is a red iguana, which is a little different from the standard green ones you see as pets. He loves his stuffed turtle and cuddles with her after he takes over the top level of our cat's tower. We did name him after Natsu Dragneel from the Fairy Tail Guild Anime! We thought it was fitting for a red iguana.
Natsu travels around with my daughter and I in the summer to Renaissance Faires as the mascot of my shop called "Dragonlady Designs," where I sell my fantasy creature sculptures and art dolls. He also goes with my daughter to her friend's house where he sits on the bed and watches them play Zelda on the WII for hours! (I tried to let him sit on my desk today and watch me play computer games, but I guess it wasn't as interesting.)
Natsu also gets to travel to events for the Fox Valley Herpetology club where he gets to help kids and adults alike learn about cool critters like him. He's also about the most photogenic pet ever. At Faires, he all but poses for people as soon as they pull out a camera! And of course, he's tolerant enough to let me put those cute little dragon wings on him when I take him to events, or just for walks around town!
