Korm the Albino Cornsnake, the Pet of the Day
Name: Korm
Age: Ten years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Albino Cornsnake,
Home: Alliance, Ohio, USA

This is Korm. He's the most special and one-of-a-kind serpent I know, he may not look albino, but if you look closely, you'll see white rims around his spots on his body pattern. He's albino, yet he retained most of his natural body color, if that's not special, then I don't know what is.

Korm has had a few good moments and some funny ones. The first moment is the day after we brought him home, my mom had his cage door opened to fix his heat light, when she looked down, Korm was looking right at her, I guess he wanted to say hello, when my mom looked at him, she freaked out, I kinda got a chuckle out of it. I caught korm doing some things, another moment, was when I saw him pushing his head against a slightly tiny gap in his cage door, he tried to push through it with all he had, right then I realized, though he may be an albino, he's still one tough serpent, he got himself a grey notch on his nose after that, it didn't even phase him, I have great respect for Korm. I caught him yawning a few times, seeing a snake yawn is kind of a rare thing to see. Another funny moment is durrng his feeding time, he's fed a thawed, dead mouse once a week, and over the 2 years I've known him, he's gotten used to the cycle, so now, when I have a mouse ready for him, he'll look at me through the cage door and be like, "Are you gonna feed me, or just sssssstand there?"

One of the most special moments that I've had with Korm, though, goes like this. We'd look at each-other through the cage door, he'd flicker his tongue at me, I'd flicker my tongue back, I felt like we were talking to each-other. If I could understand what he was saying I think he'd say, "You're my bessssssst friend." Korm, is the most special snake in the whole world to me, and no other serpent will or can replace him, Korm is one-of-a-kind to me, and nothing will ever change that.
