He's a beautiful horse! When I was looking at getting a new horse, he was not on the list but when I walked out in the pasture, he approached me and it was an instant bond! He is one of the most loving and gentle horses I've ever met. When I first got him, he was still a Stallion and that is why his temperament was so surprising! We eventually got him gelded because I had a thoroughbred mare so it was not good to have them near each other. So, after he sired a few babies, he got gelded. His temper never changed! He only lets me ride him. Well, he also includes my sister in that. She is special needs and he adores her too. He is a weird one. He likes vodka, all because of my mom. Who would have thought?
Buck loves cats! There is a cat at the barn that will come and meow and stuff until he grooms her while I'm grooming him. It's become a routine thing. He loves the water, too! There's a creek near the barn and he plays in it. Before we moved, there was pond and he'd jump in it while I was on him and swim around, tossing his head. But he doesn't like apples or carrots! He will only eat mint treats!
He is so special to me and he's the biggest part of my life. It's the little things he does that makes him so special. The way he's gentle with my sister, and how he is caring and never the one to start a fight. He and I are the same, almost. Attitude and all. I love him and I'm glad he approached me when he did, six years ago in a field with eleven other horses.
