Introducing
Barney O'Neil. He was dropped off at pet store without an age or
name. I just so happened to ask my friends, who are the associates at PETCO
in Avon, Massachusetts if they had a male Guinea pig up for adoption. They told me his
story and that they named him Barnabus. He was dropped off with no name or
birth date and the guy ran out the door.
I just happened to ask, when I stopped in to buy cat and dog food the
following day, if there was a male guinea pig for adoption. I guess he was
meant for me and in an hour he was at hospital due to respiratory illness I
recognized immediately. We decide his birthday would be March 10, so he will
turn one then. We are both lucky I came along when I did. I took him home
that day and he has lived like a king ever since. I just love him.
He does know some tricks, he puts front paws on my hand and kisses them. He
lives in a very large enclosure in my room with lots of snuggly fleece. He
also snuggles up with me and we take "Cat naps" together. He gets excited and
popcorns around his home at times. I get lots of kisses on my lips. He leans
up and just grabs them. He bites my nose, sometimes, too.
He snacks on romaine lettuce, baby spinach and carrots. He belongs to the
Guinea Pig Community on Google, too. He loves to model hats, which is fun! He
is my spokesmodel for my website, Nene's Nibblers, too! I love
him very much.
