Dixie
is a homebred, American Boar doe, she was raised and shown in 4-H by my
oldest daughter, and is so very sweet and spoiled! She is part of our
breeding project. She has a personality that is more like a dog than a goat.
There is no end to her silly antics! She is due to become a mommy next week
and we are all very anxious and excited! She's such a spoiled brat, I just
can't imagine her as a mama!
The project I mentioned - starting with her great grandma, Ithma who was
unregistered % Boer, we are working our way up to purebred status. If Dixie
happened to have a doe kid, then in the future that doe kid's offspring would
be registerable as purebred.
In any case, Dixie keeps us laughing, and we are looking forward to spending
many years with this funny girl!
