Hi,
my name is Chip (dark brown) and this is my brother Dale. We would like
to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day. We were given to our new Mom
by a family who knew she would take care of us, and she does.
We are called Guinea pigs but we are not from Guinea and we are not pigs. We
are cavys. Mom does think there might be a little piggie in us because she is
always filling up our food and hay dishes. We eat like pigs.
Mom knows our nails and teeth constantly grow. The nails are not a problem,
she can trim them. To make sure our teeth stay trimmed, we have this neat
log. It's made of timothy hay and honey. We love it, and as you can see from
the one picture, we chew on it a lot.
Being cavys, we don't know any tricks, except how to look cute. One thing we
have learned is when we hear the wrapper rustling and Mom says "weak, weak"
we know we are going to get good food such as kale, carrots, collard greens,
celery etc. Soon we will be getting fresh grass from the field down the street.
We haven't been in our new home very long, but we love it here. We hope your
Valentine's Day will be special, too.
