Rainbow is very pretty. He is turquoise with a hint of pink and a sprinkle of rainbow; with glossy scales. His fins are very colorful, kind of like a rainbow. that is why I named him Rainbow. Rainbow kind of sounds like a girl name but that is because I thought he was a girl at first. That was before I found out only the males get the long extravagant fins like he has, the females have much short ones like a normal fish. He is a few months old, I do not know for sure.
Rainbow is also very intelligent. One day was feeding him and he didn't know where his food was so I helped him, I pointed up and he swam up. I pointed down and he swam down. The one thing he didn't understand was how to swim in circles on command. Now he does!
Rainbow also lives in a tank next another one of my fish, Sushi. They sometimes flare at each other. That looks amazing, but is why they cannot share a tank - they are very competitive, and the nickname for their species is the Siamese Fighting fish. I love Rainbow!
