I
spotted Bean in a small sea of mud. He was about ten months old and the only
dry spot in the pen was a pile of dirty hay he was supposed to eat. I stopped
and talked the people into selling him to me. Yes, I know this isn't always
the best way to rescue an animal but, I was determined he wasn't going to
stay there another minute.
I bought him home with me and from the very beginning he was curious and
brave. He loves to go places. Loves the beach, the forest trails, the desert
areas, anywhere our travels take us.
Now at age three, Bean is a beautiful healthy boy whose pride is to carry some of
our back packing gear or our picnic supplies. Everyone who sees him loves on
him and he soaks up the attention.
Bean will never be sold. His life will be here with me always.
