This
is Chiki, my psittacula alexandri fasciata (also called a red-breasted
parakeet). She is really my cute baby. She bites everything, and destroys all
of my stuff... but I adore her.
Chiki is my second parrot, firstly I have cheaper parrot - an Eastern Rosella
I have had for around seven years. In May 2014, I found that parrots are really
the most intelligent animals. I started to get very interested in parrots. I
studied four books about them. I choose a Moustache Parakeet because they are
interesting, and they can speak when they are around one year old.
Right now she bites my gel nails, the little rascal. Our first month was
difficult, because she was scares of her new place and everything. But now
it's okay, she has settled in fine. I kiss her every day, because I love her
so much. I have arguments with her sometimes, when I am listening music and
she starts "singing" along, drowning it out! Chiki is really cute, and she is
a good bird also in that she doesn't wake me up in the morning; she start
singing when she sees I have woken up! She's the best!
