For
an older guinea pig he's got a lot of spunk and energy in him. We
don't know his actual age, just that he has had several owners before us.
If you make any sound that reminds him of food, he'll start squeaking.
Whether it's the rustling of a bag, opening the fridge, or even having the
water run, he'll squeak.

If the food is like a piece of fruit or vegetable he'll grab that piece then run into his house. Video example of Ace Getting Food.
He'll chew on just about anything he can get his teeth into. My sister
once left him on the floor and next thing I knew he was chewing up my
homework. He even once chipped his tooth after he got it stuck in a small
hole on our table-mate. His recent bonding with my dad has turned him into
a kind of bloodhound. Whenever dad comes out of the bedroom Ace will start
squeaking. He even starts squeaking just before dad comes to the door of
the apartment. Overall he's a lovable bundle of fur and an appreciated
member of the family.
