Bilbo
Baggins is named after a star in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books
and movies, but he is certainly like to be a star in the house. He started
off life with his three brothers Romeo, Clyde and Emrys, but unfortunately we had
to separate them because the stress of trying to be the dominant male was
overwhelming for Bilbo, so he much better on his own.
He is my mother's most favorite gerbil mainly because of his shiny black fur
(she has a soft spot for black gerbils) and because he has a favorite cuddle
spot which is in the crook of your arm. If he is there, he will let you
stroke him for ages. Bilbo is a show off and a lazy ball of fluff and always
has that extra bit of weight on him but we love him all the same. Keep a eye
out for him in the hobbit films.
