Hi,
my name is Pudgy, I may not be Irish, but I'm one lucky piggie. Several
weeks ago on a Wednesday, my forever Mom was at the Huntsville Animal
Shelter. She was looking for a senior Chihuahua they had on "Petfinder". The
dog was no longer there, but she noticed me. She couldn't get me out of her
mind, so on Friday she came back to adopt me. The shelter is a very scary
place, with all of those dogs barking. The people there called me "Pudgy"
because I am a little plump. Mom thought I might be pregnant. That was fine
with her, the baby girls could stay with me and my boys could live with a
male piggie she has, when they got old enough.
I was in a very small cage. Now I have a larger one with plenty of hay and
food. I love kale and celery. She got me this nice, soft chair, too. Life is good.
There are plenty of other pets at shelters, not just dogs and cats. There
were several rabbits, but Mom couldn't take everybody. If you are looking for
a new furbaby, think about adopting. I am more friendly with Mom than the
other guinea pigs she bought from a pet store. Maybe because I realize how
good it is to have a caring home after what I have been thru.
Your friend,
Pudgy
P.S. No babies, sorry Mom, I'm just chubby.
