Pyry
doesn't have hind legs at all and even though he's that old already,
he doesn't seem to be. He's very energetic.
Because he has no back feet, he crawls forward using his front ones, and
his thighs sometimes move too, but it really doesn't help. He just moves
about, happy as can be; he's never regarded himself as disabled, I guess!
He had two brothers and the first year in same terrarium went well, then
his brothers started to attack him. I moved him in different cage. We
originally thought that Pyry would pass away first, because of being
"weaker" with no hind legs. But surprisingly, he's the one still alive.
Both of his brothers have passed away already. That was his brother Edward
in that other picture with him. Pyry is now over three years old, he had
his birthday on March 14th, and he is still as energetic as ever! He is a
very sweet gerbil, and a big inspiration!
