This
is my bearded dragon, and her name is Apalla. She brightens everyone's
day with her friendly personality, and her pretty, happy colors! She is good
with visitors, unlike some bearded dragons, and everyone who seed her wants
to pet her. She is so sweet, even when someone is feeling miss understood she
comforts them while they are talking to me while petting her. So she is not
just good-looking, she is a good friend, and even a therapy pet in her own
way! She needs her sun lamp to stay warm, as she is cold-blooded, so I have
to make sure her environment stays at a good temperature even when it is cold
outside. But that is not hard, and well worth it to have a happy, healthy dragon of my own.
Apalla was actually came to me on November 4th, and we
traced her birthday to be July 4th, which is fun, as she shares a birthday
with America! She is very protective of me and she came along way from being
aggressive when I got her. She and my cat Spookie are in a program together
to help people with medical issues and people who have been bullied. Apalla
is bright and inquisitive and enjoys watching TV with Spookie and I. When
it's warmer out we will be going to schools and libraries to help encourage
people find a friend from a rescue center!
