Skittles
is our new bunny We just got him earlier this month. He comes from
an auction. We went to get a bunny, and they were either not what we were
looking for, or they sold in groups of two or three and we only wanted one. When
three lops came up, my brother knew he wanted one, so when they sold, I asked
the man who bought them if he needed all of them. He said he planned to use
them for breeding, so he sold us one. Now sweet Skittles will get lots of
love! He is still a shy one, but usually calm. Maybe he just needs to get
over his auction experience. It must have been traumatizing for him! If he
feels he isn't being treated with the royal respect he deserves, he will kick
to let us know. He does need to learn not to do that, because it's pretty
painful. He loves lettuce!
Skittles looks calm, but when introduced to my dog I had to remind her to be
nice because Skittles was trying to run away from her. I don't blame him,
after all, my dog is a bit larger! :) Skittles doesn't really like to be
held, but if we hold him firmly he feels safe and doesn't struggle.
Although we thought he would be companion to our female rabbit, we have
discovered to our dismay that Skittles is a boy. So now they have to live
separately. But he is still a very loved bunny. He got to play outside today
and enjoyed that.
