We
adopted Henry on July 12, 2013, from a local pet store, where he was
displayed as an "Adopt Me! Me! Me!" guinea pig who was surrendered to the pet
store and needed a forever home. With his cute face and his lovable
personality, we couldn't resist!
While he was shy with us at first, Henry is now a very affectionate and
lovable boy. He loves to sit on our laps for cuddle time. Every time one of
us comes home, Henry runs out of his igloo to say "Hi" and is looking for a
head rub, as he is shown in the picture. He will purr nonstop whenever we pet
him and when we give him his favorite veggies and treats. When we are tending
to his next-door neighbor, Stormy, he will pull on his water bottle and bang
it against the glass wall of his cage, so that we will pay attention to him
instead. Henry also likes to show off his athletic ability by standing on his
hind legs so that we will say Hi to him, and give him a treat.
Henry favorite foods are green pepper, baby carrots, romaine lettuce, and
hay. His favorite treats are the crunchy veggie puffs made for guinea pigs.
Any of these goodies will prompt Henry to purr, purr and purr some more!
Henry has been blessed with good health in his young life; our veterinarian
gave him a clean bill of health when it was time for his periodic check-up.
Henry has brought so much laughter and happiness into our lives in the short
time that we have had him, we wonder how anyone could have given him up. We
are so glad to have found Henry!
