Serenity
is a friendly White-faced blonde sugar glider who loves mealworms
and snap peas. She has a very curious personality and practically poses for
the camera. I love her, and her sister, Firefly! They are named after the
science fiction TV show, Firefly.
These are not my first sugar gliders. My first one was a rescue named Lilo
who had a previous condition from her former family where she had a skull
fracture from her ear to her nose. She didn't live very long because of that,
but she was a blessing to have.
I decided to get these two about a year after Lilo had passed because I felt
ready. One of my customers who comes in often had eight gliders and her
daughter had surgery. One of their males needed a surgery, so they decided to
sell a pair of their gliders so they could pay for it.
And yes, the sisters get along very well (see attached photo - Serenity on
right & Firefly on left)! They love each other a lot, but don't share their
meal worms very well, but anyway, you're right! Gliders do best in pairs or
colonies. I love my Serenity!
