Slytherin
was my first snake and I've had him since he was a hatchling. He is
named, of cours,e for the House of Slytherin at Hogwarts from the Harry
Potter books. Slytherin is what sparked my love for reptiles and I love him
with all of my heart. He is such a sweet boy and has never given me issues.
<3 He is the snake that I use when someone is afraid of them but wants to
learn because he is so docile and doesn't mind being handled. He has changed
the mind of several with his charm <3.
I am part of a ball python group on Facebook and I keep seeing everyone with
their ball pythons outside in the grass and I decided to let Slytherin, my
normal ball python, out for his first time for a little bit. Boy, did he have
a blast! I am going to be doing a lot this Summer, especially if it makes him
so happy. He has been out many times since that day and has loved every
moment of it! And because of him, I now have loads of reptiles from ten snakes
of varying species, six Crested Geckos, three bearded dragons, and five leopard geckos
(as well as furry pets as well)! He definitely started a trend with me. I
love my boy dearly!
