Edward
was born on May 3rd, 2006, when I was fifteen years old. I was watching his
mother since my aunt had surgery and she couldn't take care of all of her
pregnant rabbits. So I have known him since the moment he was born. He will
be turning eight years old in a month, so is getting to be an old rabbit.
Edward is a Dutch Rabbit, and has gone to shows. He won one first place
ribbon and a best opposite sex ribbon in a rabbit show when he was a year
old, and a fourth place ribbon at the Central Wisconsin state fair in 2009 he
was three years old. Since then he hasn't won any other ribbons, and sadly
none of his babies survived.
He feels really light right now, but my uncle says it's been a hard winter
and because of his age. At least he's eating, at first when I looked at him I
was scared that he might die but when I talked to my uncle he said drinking
water and eating food was a good sign that there's nothing wrong with him. So
hopefully we can fatten him back up now that nice weather is here again, and
lots of tasty things are growing for him to eat!
