Oltenia
is a rescue leopard gecko, who had a pretty tough life before I got
her, she had scars covering her body from older and larger animals bullying
her and a male trying to bred with her. She also has a genetic defect known
as Enigma syndrome which effects the animals balance and causes the animals
to walk around in circles. It's a genetic defect which can cause geckos to be
unable to breed, they walk around in circles and generally messes up their
balance, so they can't aim well when hunting. She sometimes "loses" her food
that way, but if I wait, she will find it again.
Oltenia does circle when stressed out and had a number of problems with
shedding due to not having a moist cave hide when we got her, she has now
recovered from all of her injuries and is now living a happy and healthy life
with me and my fiancé, she is sweet little girl who loves cuddles and has
such a loving nature despite what she's been through. We love her a lot.
