Hi,
my name is Patches because of my tricolor fur, and this is my sister Wendy (left). We want to give Thanks for our new home. Our Mom really loves us. She bought us about two weeks ago at a local pet store. When we first got home, our new cage was all ready for us. We were fine and ran around checking everything out. After a few days, Mom noticed Wendy's head was slightly tilted. Head tilt can be a serious problem. Most veterinarians know a lot about dogs and cats, but do not treat guinea pigs. Mom made an appointment with Dr Moore at The Cat & Bird Clinic who specializes in "exotic" pets. We drove 50 miles to get there. That's when I realized how much she loves us. Dr. Moore gave us several medicines. Wendy likes the taste of it, which is good. I have to take it too, so I don't get sick.
We have plenty of things to be thankful for. There is always food and hay in our cage, along with clean water. Our cage has a plastic igloo and editable log to hide in. We have toys to toss around. My only hope is that my sister will be OK. We want everyone to have a Happy Thanksgiving and wish you all could have a warm home and plenty of food, like we do.
Your friend,
Patches
