This
is my degu Izzy. Not a lot of people know what a degu is, but they sure
are cute and fun! She has loads of personality, loves human contact,
especially cuddles and kisses and she looooves running around. Izzy and I
live in Ottawa Ontario and she is coming up to two years old this summer! When
we first got Izzy, her name was Ozzy and she had a brother, her brother
unfortunately ran away and we couldn't find him. But a month later, I found a
little surprise in her cage ... three little baby degus! So she was no longer
Ozzy... but Izzy :).
She made a great mom and was very sad to see her pups go to their new homes,
but she's recovered and is a very happy little girl! She's very fast like a
squirrel so sometimes she gets to run around my room. I just moved her to a
larger cage, and she's ecstatic. So, this is my "weird rodent thingy" as
people will call her, but you can just call her Izzy!
