This
is Honey, an eight-year-old Palomino Quarter horse. She's a very sweet
girl, and she'll chase you around the field if you let her! Honey is
amazing to ride, always listening and willing to work.
Honey is one of those horses that sticks in your mind after you meet her. I
honestly can't think of one bad thing to say about her! Her name really
matches her personality, because she is one of the sweetest horse you'll
ever meet. She is a reining horse, and she always does her job well. She is
quite happy to work and loves going to shows. I'm starting to teach her how
to take a bow, and smile! Her favorite treat is apples, she'll do just
about anything for them. One of her favorite things to do is flip over a
basket to find apples and carrots.
Honey loves to trot around the paddock, swinging her head around and
running with the other horses. It's quite amazing to see her and the rest
of the herd gallop at top speed, you can hear the pounding of their hooves
and they just look so happy and free. Honey is one of those few horses that
I would trust with a young child, she is so calm and relaxed, anyone can go
in her stall without having to worry about being kicked.
This year, she will be bred for the first time with the famous reining
stallion, Spooks Gotta Gun. I can't wait to see how the foal turns out,
it'll be a beauty! Hopefully he/she will have the personality of Honey;
loving, sweet, energetic and always amusing. All I can hope is that the
pregnancy and birth goes well, and that mom and baby will be happy and
healthy. I'm sure Honey will be a great mother, because whenever there were
foals around, she was always so careful and gentle around them. I love this
horse so much, it's hard to put into words <3.
