Allie
is one of my four prairie dogs. She is the latest addition and I've had
her since the fall of 2012. She lives with a male prairie dog named Nicky,
since he is the only one who will get along with her.
Allie likes to ring a bell in her cage whenever she wants attention. She
loves to be scratched all over, and likes to perch on my shoulder. Allie eats
a Timothy-hay based diet. She likes an occasional green bean as a treat.
Allie is very affectionate and cuddly, although she wasn't that way at first.
Her favorite thing to do is ring a bell in her cage for attention, as I
mentioned, and every time she rings the bell toy in her cage, the other
prairie dogs "yahoo" in response! She loves to climb, and that includes on
me. She is a very special girl!
