This
is my new horse Jixer. We adopted him from a Thoroughbred rescue in the
beginning of July. He was on the track and raced three times, never placing
so he was retired early. He's a bit of a poke, so it's no surprise he didn't
do well on the track! After researching his tattoo number, we found that he
is a great-great grandson of Secretariat!
Jixer is a sweet boy- he is so loving, a ton of fun, and very curious!! When
I heard he was only three (and just turned three in April) I was a little hesitant,
thinking he may be too high-strung...but he's just the opposite. I
immediately fell in love with his personality, he just loves attention! He's
so laid back and willing to learn. My goal is to do hunter/jumpers with him,
and maybe eventually some cross country and dressage. We have a ways to go
before he can start jumping though, but we have all the time in the world to
become a great team together. I'm so happy to have found him, and give him a
loving forever home because he certainly deserves it!
