Milas
is the most special horse that I know. He will turn thirteen years old on May
5th. Milas is not the kind of horse that would nudge you while you're
cleaning his hooves; neither will he stick out his tongue on command. Milas
is a horse that will open the door of his stable on his own to take a walk in
the meadow. Or he will steal the lunch meat from your sandwich (yes, he loves
ham, sausages, and orange juice - so much for horses supposedly being
vegetarians). Milas is not the kind of horse that opens his mouth for you to
get out the snaffle bit, or that jumps over obstacles freely. Milas is a
horse that only accepts a rubber bit in the winter because he deems iron to
be too cold. And he's a horse who would jump out of trot over a 1.40m high
fence all on his own after he's done his jumping practice. That's why I love him!
With Milas, you can experience great things. He loves galloping over
snow-covered fields, and if he's in the mood, you can guide him with a stable
halter. He won't run wild if a deer jumps into his path while he's galloping,
either! Also, he's been winning each race against his buddy Spencer. I think
all this makes him worthy to be honored!
