This
is my sweet Daisy-Bee! She was born on October 10th this year, and
she is an American Budgie which some people call a Parakeet. She is very
affectionate, she loves kisses, cuddles, being petted and most of all ... sleeping! When she isn't sleeping she is very excitable and clumsy,
believe it or not she has actually fallen off her perches and broken her
tail feathers! Now she has a short-stubby tail! She loves to sing and
mimic sounds! She is so much fun!
Recently, just this month, she had to be taken into a pet hospital since
she was vomiting liquid every five to ten minutes for about an hour. When we
got to the pet hospital she wanted to come out of her travel cage so
badly that she put on a show, crawling under perches and on cage bars,
even falling asleep for about two or three minutes hanging off the top of the
cage with her head between her legs! After the doctor examined her they
said she either had a blockage or an infection, so they gave her some
injections and she was able to come home with us that night, now she is
on a few different medications but she is getting better. She's a strong
one, and we will love her always!
