Bengy
is about three months old, and she is a Bantam Barred-rock Hen. The
"bantam" part means she will always be smaller than a regular hen, and the
"barred" refers to her pretty striped feather pattern, which continues over
her whole self.
What makes Bengy special is that she's very sweet and loves attention, unlike
her siblings. She has rather big feet for a bird her size and is decently
clumsy, which is just adorable to see. Even for her size she is mild and well
tempered. She is pretty much the best "momma" material a hen could be, and we love her!
