Hi everyone!
My name is Maya and, let's be honest, I'm probably the
world's cutest ferret! Let me tell you a little bit about myself: I'm a
"second-hand pet", that is to say that I come from a special ferret rescue
center. When I was eight months old, a nice lady found me wandering alone in
the street. I had been there for days and I was completely starved and
dehydrated. However, after a lot of TLC at the shelter, I quickly put on some
weight and perked up. That's when my future owner came to visit me at the
shelter in search of a furry friend. Despite knowing nothing about my past,
he still fell in love with my sweet face and decided he wanted to take me home!
The first few moments were quite difficult because we still
had to get to know each other and I had to learn everything, like not to bite
everything that moved and to wear my harness without throwing a massive
tantrum every time, but hey, we got through! And don't worry, my owner still
has all of his fingers...just! I was a feisty little thing, to put it mildly!
Now, everything is rosy, we spend hours playing together
and going on little walks in the garden, so many interesting things to sniff!
I've also calmed down and matured, if I may say so myself, and I've learned
to love cuddles and being handled. I've also recently started clicker
training, which is fun, because I can earn tasty treats! My owner thinks I
should be honored, because I'm a one of a kind ferret!
