Bribery
was an off the track racehorse that was abused and rescued from
slaughter. His entire life was a battle of losing and gaining weight. He was
a mysterious case, as the vets couldn't find the cause of his sickness and
everything was tried. He was a very happy horse who loved to run and play and
he was like my best friend. One summer he got better and we thought
everything would be okay. That was not the case though. This past summer, a
week after my birthday, it was discovered what he had. Cancer. They couldn't
find it before and now that they had, it was way too late. I had him for four
years, four years of a loving home and what a good life should be.
Bribery is special because he always fought hard and he never gave up. He
also trusted humans again after all the pain and suffering they put him
through. He never let getting sick, or bully horses get him down. He was
happy and content always. And I will love him forever.
