This
is Bessie, she is my female Horsfield Tortoise. Bessie is very
different as she has one fully functioning eye where as her other eye is
completely shut due to some problems before she came to me. When Bessie
was given the all clear to come to me I had noticed her coloration was
very different than your average Horsfield tortoise. Bessie is very much
darker than usual and has such an amazing character and individual
personality to her. She has a thing for trying to eat anything that is in
her path which at times is a right scare! Bessie, considering she looks so
sweet, is by far from that, she is very over-protective with food which
means she snaps at anyone and anything that even attempts go near "her"
food. Bessie is one of a kind and although a shell-scare at times! She is
one of my most loved animals! :) She is a part of the family.
