Mango
is a Seagreen Pied Peach-Faced Lovebird. Mango is very bonded to his
blue toy ball. He cuddles with it, sleeps with it, plays with it, feeds
it, and argues with it. One night he refused to sleep with it or anywhere
near it, instead he slept on top of one of his toys ... we suspect him and
his toy had an argument and the ball made him sleep "on the couch". The
next day however they made up and have been fine ever since.
He is sweet and gentle and very shy. But the fact that he is so cute wins
everyone over! His sweet face earns him many fans, and no one can stay mad
at that face, not even his ball that we named Blueberry. He also likes
Q-tips as toys, as do most of our birds.
Mango has carrot all over his beak in that photo, his favorite foods are
carrots, blackberries, and broccoli. He is a very shy but semi-tame bird,
he is very mellow and laid back but timid and takes awhile to get to know
new things. He is the most most hands-off bird of ours, out of four. He
chose Blueberry over his sister, who he used to be bonded to but the
sister beat him up all the time so he chose the ball over her. Now he
doesn't want any other companion but his ball, which is fine by us, we
don't have to feed his new companion.
