Mirai
is an eight-year-old quarter horse mare who is a little pistol! She
loves to work, and gets really excited after cantering or jumping. She
loves to jump, do flying lead changes, play and gallop around. I usually
ride her for hunter/jumper, and she has free-jumped 3'3", and can probably
go higher. I have been leasing her for a little over a year, and she has
improved so much. She is much calmer now, and is not so 'spooky' at new
things. I can easily control her now, and get her to slow down now. She
has really helped me improve my riding. I'm a lot more comfortable trying
higher jumps, and she has helped me become a stronger rider. She has
really helped my self-esteem, and I am not so shy any more in the rest of
life. I love going out and grooming her, or just paying attention to her.
She absolutely loves molasses treats, and expects them whenever I go out
to the barn to see her. She's my spoiled-rotten mare, but I love her very
much, and I'm not sure what I would do without her.
