I
placed an ad on Craig's List, looking for a chinchilla. A lady contacted
me saying she had two she wanted to sell, and after a series of emails I
ended up getting both of them, Fluffy was the female. And let me tell you,
in the meantime I have ended up with six chinchillas total because I just
love my chins so much. I guess they are like potato chips - you can't have
just one! At least I can't! Several of them were rescues, and I couldn't
leave them where they were. Thankfully my children love them, too!
Fluffy is by far the most active of all my chins. She runs and runs on her
wheel until the vibrations get so strong the things falls off the side of
the cage. It's just too funny. She is also sweet, and very soft, and does
not mind being picked up, which is a good thing.
Fluffy is in a cage with the male she came here with, as they seemed
already bonded and so I didn't want to upset them by separating them. They
have been in their hut a lot the past few weeks and we think that Fluffy
just might have some babies come September. We will be keeping an eye on
her, and will make a trip to the vet to be sure, and to find out how we
should prepare just in case, if there's anything we should do! We love her a lot.
