Introducing
Puffers the Quaker. Puffers likes to think she is king of the
world. This is despite the fact that we have other, much larger parrots in
the house, size does not, apparently impress her! When on her cage she
climbs to the highest point possible and then acts like a damsel in
distress by flapping her wings and making the same noise she makes when I
am carrying her and she looses her balance.
I think what sets her apart from our other birds is the fact that when the
camera comes out she poses, our other birds want to know why this weird
device is flashing at them but Puffers likes it. We tell people she looks
so great because she gets plenty of exercise!
She is a little spoiled: if I don't cuddle with
Puffers before bed time, when I cover her cage she screams and won't
stop until I uncover her and do it. She also has a very convincing
sneeze that she does whenever we cough. For the second picture that
looks like she's posing, she really wouldn't sit still and she wasn't
posing when I tried taking the picture. It just happened to catch her that
way! She is a special little bird!
