Igor
is a very special guinea pig. He is a white crested guinea pig with
golden agouti spots on his eyes and rump. He used to live with a little
boy, but unfortunately the family could no longer keep him and he came to
us. His name is Igor because he has a head tilt. It could have been caused
by an ear infection when he was younger or a spinal injury, but Igor is
perfectly healthy now with just a little tilt.
Igor is approximately one year old, but don't let him fool you. He has
more energy than even the youngest of pigs. He will run laps around his
cage for an hour at a time. He jumps from his house, to the floor, to his
ramp, and back to his house. However, even though Igor has tons of energy,
he is also very lazy! Expending so much energy makes him very sleepy,
which is why his nickname is "Sleepy Piggy". Most of the time, you will
find him sleeping - in his house, on his mat, in his hay, but usually on
top of his house. That's right, Igor is no stranger to sleeping wherever
he can, and he greatly enjoys the higher view from his "apartment". When
he's not running circles or sleeping, Igor enjoys giving kisses or eating
kale greens. He is a truly remarkable pig, and our family is so grateful
to have been able to bring him into our home.
