Einstein was born in "Tierpark Berlin," where something went wrong
during incubation. Because of that he now has Rickets. He went to an old
woman with two other African Grey Parrots, but after she realized that the
two older ones would intimidate Einstein, she called a Parrot Breeding Club
so that these people could find an new home for him. One of my mother's old
friend's sister worked there and she knew that we were looking for a parrot.
Then one thing lead to another. We drove to that old woman's place and paid
100€ (Euros) and got Einstein.
He is a Handsome little guy. We had some problems with him because he began
to pluck at himself, so we bought him things to play and went to "Tierheim
Berlin," that's an animal Shelter. We asked there if we should get a friend
or partner for him, but because of his illness we did not get one. But now,
in this year he has been at our home, he got much stronger.
He and I work together almost every day, and now he is powerful with his
claws. He can now sit in my hand. The only thing he will never learn is
flying. But that's okay. I would carry him through to the other end of the
world. I love him very much.
