This
is Susurrare Salix H Hugo - or just Hugo! He's a Nigerian Dwarf Goat -
buckling (baby boy). Hugo is our newest baby goat born on the farm. He and
his twin sister were tangled up at birth, and required help to be delivered
safely. Hugo and his sister Helena bounced back beautifully after the
difficult birth, and their Dam (Mother Goat) took wonderful care of them -
one of the pictures shows Hugo and Helena playing on Mom (Katie). Hugo is a
fast favorite around here, bouncing around as baby goats do, and always
snuggling up for pets and hugs when we join the herd in the pasture. He even
knows his name!
Hugo is such a love, even after all the rest of the herd has "lost interest"
in the human in the pasture, he jumps up into your lap and lets you know that
YOU are important too, and those beautiful blue eyes seem to say "I love
you." We love you too Hugo!
