We
recently adopted a new Chinchilla from someone that could no longer
take care of her. She is a very sweet eight-year-old Chin that instantly
gained our love and affection. We love her so much. A breeder that we
associate with took her in and thought of us for full time parents, as she
knows our Wally and Orville are happy here.
Lucy is amazingly sweet. She warmed to us almost instantly. You can tell
that she has had a hard life with the bite marks on her ears. We are so
happy that we could give her a great home where she will not have to worry
about other Chins being territorial with her. She is a bit independent but
as soon as she starts to get her scritches and loves she just melts in our
hands. That is only fitting since she melts our hears with her cute little
curly piggy tail and her speckled ears. She is a blessing to us and we are
trying to be the best blessing for her as well.
I included a picture of her curly tail :-). Like most chinchillas, Lucy
likes to bounce to different levels in her cage, so having shelves to do
this on is a good thing for them. Also we are pretty sure she is an
expecting mother, but only time will tell.
