may look all grown up, but she really is still a baby! She is
learning new things every day, like how to balance and scratch herself. All
this is great progress for her, after all, two weeks ago she couldn't walk at
all due to poor nest materiel by the breeder. She joins my little flock of six
Lovebirds, and likes hanging out with the others, like Peridot in the
picture with her. She is seeing what being a happy healthy bird is all about!
She is just a baby being handfed so she doesn't know any games or tricks
yet, she doesn't have favorite treats yet as most of what she eats is
formula. She is starting to play with foot toys and picking at millet. She
is learning to fly which we didn't know if she ever would because of her leg
condition. She is landing as well as can be expected. It's funny when she
tries to take off to fly, she flaps her wings real hard and fast and starts
running to take off. She is mostly independent right now, but does have her
affectionate moments.
