My
pets are two nice little gerbils. Their names are Anneliese Brown and
Agathe Bauer. They are sisters and they're six months old. They live in a
big glass terrarium filled with sand, hay and wooden shavings. They have a
big wooden terrace and two hamster wheels. Their food is cereals, fruit and
vegetables. I like to take them out and let them run up and down my arm.
They are easy-care animals, and I love them very much.
Let me tell you about Agathe. She is very lively. Very often she is running
in her hamsterwheel and after that she is very hungry and tired. She goes to
her little plate first and eats a lot. Then she goes to sleep in her warm
and cosy nest, as you can see in the photo.
Agathe is still very young and becomes more and more affectionate each day.
I take her out of her terrarium every day and play with her. She is a good
"sportsgirl" and can somersault in her wheel. Her record is even a triple somersault.
