Mojito
is a green Indian Ringneck Parakeet, and is very special because he is
the first legitimate parrot that our family has owned. He is only a year old
but is very friendly and knows a few phrases like, "Hi, how are you?"
"What're you doing?" "Weeeee!" and "Give me kiss." He's a little shy, so he
won't speak too often, but enjoys being in the kitchen and running around on
the counter and visiting our other parrot.
Mojito doesn't like brooms or when someone sweeps around his cage, but
doesn't mind the vacuum. He also enjoys when the TV is on, and hanging out on
the perch on top of his cage all day. He's also very funny when he sleeps
during the day because he cuddles all up and looks very short and compact
compared to his usual tall self, and at night when he sleeps he grabs the
corners of the inside of his cage and sleeps there. He also plays with a
mirror he has, and "talks" or practices with it. He is a very comical and
friendly parrot, and it's a pleasure having him in the house.
