Starburst
is a year and nine months-ish and he is a Dalmatian Crested Gecko.
I had wanted a Crested Gecko for a while and my Dad sent me some money for my
birthday, which enabled me to go and buy my first Crestie! I got the first
one I held and after much deliberation, named him Star, which later on
evolved into Starburst. Shortly after that, my best friend, my Leopard Gecko
Nanook, died and I was heartbroken. I later lost his mate Leeloo and shortly
after that my Dad died.
Star has been my rock through these previous rough times and is a constant
reminder of the last amazing birthday gift from my Father. A lot of people
seem to think that Reptiles lack the capacity to be affection or have
feelings. It's not true at all, and until you've actually owned one, you'll
never know just how amazing these animals really are! He is lively, friendly
- and as you can see, quite photogenic!
