In
late 2005, after losing my second rabbit days after I adopted him, I
decided it was time to look into adopting another rabbit so my first baby
girl Maggie would have a playmate. After contacting Laurie from Nashville
Bunny Rescue, I decided to adopt this precious little boy who was dropped
off at a vet's office that didn't have a clue on how to take care of a
rabbit. After seeing him for the first time, I completely fell in love
with him and haven't stopped loving him since.
Thumper is an American Sable rabbit, and he's a quiet, chunky lovable boy
that enjoys the simple things in life such as taking naps with his mommy,
getting bunny massages and spending time with his love, Miss Maggie Moo.
That's her in the picture with him, we say she's his bunwife. They both
love grooming each other and hiding in their cube. He has added so much
bunny love to my life and I'm so greatful he has chosen his forever home
to be with me.
He is 9.5 years old (Maggie is the same age as well). He recently started
losing weight and his age is starting to show through. He is a momma's boy
and loves to sleep on the couch with me. He loves his Maggie and never
leaves her side, even when she has clearly had enough cuddle time and
wants to be alone. His favorite food is dried banana, oats, parsley and
baby romaine. He loves his hidey tent from his Brother Jumper and enjoys
catching some rays when he is allowed outside (with supervision of
course!).
