This
is Hutch! He is 26, and is a Standardbred from York, Pennsylvania. He
was rescued from an auction and would have been taken to slaughter, but he was saved!
Hutch loves to go for trail rides, hang out with his best horse friends, and of
course, his favorite person, me!
Hutch is a very good boy, but he is stubborn sometimes! He loves to run, more than
anything, and when we do run, I think he feels like we're flying together. His
tricks include headbutting me when he wants treats, and running past me into the
barn to get to the treat bucket. He is very treat-motivated! Some days, he cannot get
enough attention. But if I haven't ridden him for a week or so, he completely
ignores me until I saddle him up and take him into the woods! Then he is my friend again.
