This
is my ferret, Skeemer. Don't let that sweet face fool you, she is
quite the mischief maker and schemer, so that's how she gets her name.
Wherever she is out of her cage you have to keep an eye on her, as she
is sure to be getting into some kind of trouble. She likes playing in
the sink, stealing soap, and really likes shiny things, pens that have
the silver pieces on them or metal ends she's sure to steal away from
you when your back is turned. We have also taken to keeping any keys in
a shut drawer or closed purse, after a couple frantic mornings trying
to remember what her most recent favorite hiding spot is so we could
retrieve the car keys to get to work! Yet when you say "Where are my
keys???" she'll look all innocent and like she has no idea how they
ended up underneath the couch, for example. She keeps us on our toes,
and we love her funny ways and silly noises, and cannot ever stay mad at
her for long! She's just being her ferret self, that's all, it's we
people that make up rules about things she shouldn't have, says Skeemer.
